Here at Cacao Bakery

At Cacao bakery, we develop exciting and bold treats. We take the traditional, nostalgic flavours we have come to cherish and transform them into the baked goods that we love.

We use real cinnamon bark and fresh nutmeg imported directly from the (Spice island) Caribbean island of Grenada to produce the best and authentic flavours in our bakes. Our aim is to feed you with a real sense of home, in every bite.

Cacao Bakery owner, Akilah started her plant-based journey 8 years ago. With a new change in lifestyle but a traditional home baking background, she sought to find the plant-based alternatives to her baked-good needs. It was important for her to develop recipes that reminded her of home and filled the kitchen with beautiful aromas, which, essentially meant, real ingredients. 

There was a gap in the market for vegan baked goods and whilst the industry has been growing there seems to be a lack in variety and some quality options. Working in the kitchen, experimenting with flavour combinations and baking techniques; our bakers have really made something special.

 

We use layers of homemade jam, ganache, whipped cream, curd, buttercream, compote or sponge to form our treats. We limit the amount of outsourced decorations for our cakes to ensure authenticity and quality for our customers. We use a fine crumb of homemade shortbread among many other delicious toppings to coat some of our most popular cake flavoured cakes. 

We enjoy supplying cakes and treats for corporate events, private celebrations and take great pleasure in creating memorable cakes for our beloved customers that mark their  occasions with us.

Our baking team have been developing cake recipes for over 12 years now. Our cake decorator is experienced and developed in their artistry for creating stunning, decorative showpiece cakes.
